Palmetto Protection Films was founded in 2020 by Matthew and Kristy Yelle with a simple goal: to provide professional window film solutions with the kind of honesty, communication, and attention to detail people deserve.
What began as a family-owned business has grown through relationships, referrals, education, and a commitment to doing things the right way. Today, we specialize in residential and commercial flat-glass window film solutions for homes, businesses, churches, offices, storefronts, and community spaces throughout North Carolina and South Carolina.

Matthew brings more than 25 years of hands-on experience in the window film industry, specializing in residential and commercial flat-glass applications.
Known for his precision, craftsmanship, and technical knowledge, Matthew leads installation standards for Palmetto Protection Films and believes every project should be completed with professionalism, attention to detail, and respect for the client’s property.
He believes successful window film installations require more than product knowledge alone — they require careful preparation, attention to detail, and an understanding of how each space, glass type, and client need can impact the final result.
His experience includes solar control film, decorative film, safety and security film, and specialty window film solutions designed to improve comfort, performance, and protection.
Kristy Yelle

Kristy leads client experience, business development, education, and community engagement for Palmetto Protection Films.
Passionate about helping homeowners and businesses make informed decisions, she believes clients deserve honest guidance and clear communication throughout the entire process.
Kristy currently serves on the Board of the International Window Film Association and remains actively involved in leadership and business organizations throughout the Carolinas.
Her background in client communication, business operations, & industry leadership helps ensure clients feel supported, informed, and confident from the initial consultation through the final installation while helping shape the company’s client-first approach.
